London attractions: Learn about Trog, Flook and Humph too at the Cartoon Museum
Published: Thursday 31st of January 2013
The Cartoon Museum is currently hosting an exhibition entitled Trog, Flook and Humph too, which is displaying cartoons, caricatures and cartoon strips by Wally Fawkes and Humphrey Lyttelton - a fantastic option for fans of the art form looking for things to do in London.
Running until April 28th, the exhibition celebrates the work of Wally Fawkes, or 'Trog', who is one of the most highly regarded British cartoonists in the post-war era.
During his working life he produced powerful cartoons for publications including the Daily Mail, Private Eye, Observer and Sunday Telegraph.
Subjects of his work included George Best, Francis Bacon, Michael Jackson, Brigitte Bardot and the Queen, to name but a few.
Humphrey Lyttelton ('Humph') was a lifelong friend of the artist, and a small selection of his works is also on show.
A special event is to take place on Wednesday March 20th, when Wally Fawkes is scheduled to give a talk about his long and varied career.
