People looking for things to do in London could visit The Courtauld Gallery - touted as "one of the finest small museums in the world".

An exciting exhibition entitled Becoming Picasso, Paris 1901 is currently being held and is set to run until May 26th.

Visitors will be immersed in the story of Pablo Picasso's breakthrough year as an artist - 1901.

At just the age of 19, the ambitious artist launched his career in Paris with a life-changing exhibition which saw him become one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.

The exhibition shows the early stages of Picasso's works, as he took on the styles of Van Gogh, Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec.

Visitors will also see the dramatic change in Picasso's work which occurred in the second half of 1901, which heralded the beginning of his Blue period, which was inspired in part by the recent suicide of a friend.
