London attractions: Get nostalgic at the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising

Published: Sunday 16th of September 2012

People who want a nostalgic look back into their childhood should pay a visit to the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising for things to do in London.

According to the museum: "It's all here … the brands and packs, posters and adverts, fads and fashions, toys and games. Evocative and inspiring, it's a kaleidoscope of images and iconic brands."

The museum features more than 12,000 original items from the Robert Opie Collection, which covers the history of consumer culture from retro household products to favourite items in the shopping basket.

One exciting event soon to be taking place at the museum is Branding James Bond, which is running on Wednesday October 24th between 6pm and 7.30pm.

Meanwhile, the Inside Out Festival event focuses on iconic characters such as James Bond, Batman and Harry Potter, looking at the tight knit relationship between films and branding, and considering what this means for the movie industry.
