Published: Sunday 10th of March 2013

There is scarcely a better known London attraction than the Tate Modern. Anyone with more than a fleeting interest in art, will love this gallery.

It contains just about every weird and wonderful artform that you can imagine and is known the world over for its innovative and outlandish designs.

It’s current exhibition features work by Lichtenstein, and is on until May 27th. The collection is entitled: ‘Lichtenstein: A Retrospective’ and came about because of a partnership between The Art Institute of Chicago and Tate Modern.

Over 125 of his most famous works which will form part of the collection, including his world-famous Look Mickey painting of 1961 and the Drowning Girl painting from 1963.

Other interesting highlights include the Schwitters in Britain exhibition which features a collection from the deceased  Kurt Schwitters, who was at the forefront of the modernism style of art in Europe.

He combined a number of different materials as part of his artwork in a style known as  Dadaism.
