London attractions: Explore the tales of the sea at the National Maritime Museum
Published: Thursday 16th of May 2013
The museum is the ideal tourist hotspot for anyone who is fascinated by the lives of world famous explorers, and keen to explore the lives of the British mariners in days gone by.
This attraction is thought to be one of the largest of its kind in the world, and is filled with inspirational stories of discovery and adventure at sea.
A number of talks and tours are held throughout the year, in addition to discovery days and one-off events.
This month, a number of family-orientated activities will be held on weekends where guests will be invited to explore their personal connections to the sea.
Visitors can also take part in the 'alien revolution' at the Royal Observatory, which will discuss whether we are indeed alone in the universe.
The event is on until September of this year and includes a programme of talks, courses and planetarium shows.
