London attractions: Churchill War Rooms pays homage to UK's most famous prime minister

Winston Churchill was one of the most famous prime ministers this country has ever known, and the Churchill War Rooms gives a rare insight into the historical significance behind the former prime minister.
Churchill was once described as the 'greatest Briton' and a visit to these museums covers all 90 years of his life, divided into five sections.
Here guests can learn about his reign as prime minister, split into the initial years and the later period of his leadership of the UK, his childhood, politics and the second world war.
Not only can visitors learn some of the stories about Churchill, there is also the chance to discover more about those who worked underground as London was being bombed above them.
A number of exhibitions take place at the museum throughout the year and private tours are also available.
The museum also makes use of interactive technology to create displays to document the life of Churchill.
