London attractions: Celebrate Britain's musical heritage at the Beatles Store and It’s Only Rock n Roll

Published: Wednesday 29th of August 2012

Britain has a long tradition of producing fantastic pop and rock music, as seen in the Olympics Closing Ceremony, and people wanting to take home a musical souvenir should visit the Beatles Store and It's Only Rock n Roll for things to do in London.

The Beatles are arguably the most famous band to emerge from the British Isles, with John, Paul, George and Ringo sparking hysteria wherever they went.

As a result, there is an entire London store dedicated to the 1960s hitmakers, selling everything from Beatles-themed t-shirts and badges to pinball games, kaleidoscopes, Zippo lighters, wrapping paper and cookie jars.

There is also a fantastic selection of original Beatles memorabilia.

If you're more of a rocker than a pop fan, then head across the street to It's Only Rock n Roll - a fantastic shop offering memorabilia from almost every rock star and band known to man.

At this rock n roll treasure trove, you can pick up a wide range of souvenirs, commemorating artists from Alice In Chains to Coldplay, David Bowie to The Damned and Black Sabbath to Blondie.
