Published: Friday 14th of September 2012

Art fans seeking out quirky exhibitions for things to do in London should pay London Transport Museum a visit to take a look at Mind The Map.

Running until October 28th, the exhibition is looking at the museum's extensive map collection in order to study themes of journeys, publicity and identity.

The Underground, London Transport and Transport for London have produced impressive maps for more than 100 years, which have become famous worldwide.

While perusing the exhibition, visitors can explore the impact maps have had on our understanding of London, as well as the way visitors engage with their surroundings.

People visiting the London Transport Museum may also enjoy art and poster tours, which display the fantastic posters that have been pasted up on the Underground over the past 100 years.

Visitors can explore some of the 7,000 posters that are now rarely seen by the public.
