London attractions: Add a touch of royalty to your trip at the Queen's Gallery

Published: Tuesday 23rd of April 2013

If you are on the hunt for things to do in London, then there is hardly a more majestic place to visit than the Queen's Gallery in Buckingham Palace.

It certainly does add a touch of royalty to a trip, visiting the palace itself, complete with a stunning collection of artwork.

Highlights of the gallery include paintings, sculptures, and priceless treasures held in trust by Her Majesty.

Current exhibitions featured at the gallery are 'The Queen: Portraits of the Monarch', and another entitled 'Cairo to Constantinople: Early Photographs of the Middle East'.

Visitors will get a chance to see the 'Dressing the Queen' exhibition by Angela Kelly, personal assistant and curator to Queen Elizabeth II, along with an exploration into Tudor fashion.  Audio tours are also available, as are group tours. And if you're bringing the little ones along, you may be interested in the Family Activity Bags. These contain a variety of activities for children and parents to do together.
