London attractions: Art house and opera celebrated at the Curzon Chelsea
Published: Thursday 30th of May 2013
The Curzon Chelsea is the perfect night out after an exciting day visiting London attractions.
Originally built as a music hall, it existed as a filming location before evolving into the luxurious cinema it is today.
But the Curzon is no ordinary cinema. Here, visitors can view some of the most interesting foreign language films and art house shows.
Set in the heart of London's Chelsea, it allows visitors to rub shoulders with some of the most influential people in independent cinema.
Currently showing is The Great Gatsby, in both 3D and 2D. The New York Metropolitan Opera Live in HD show will also be taking place at the Curzon, after the summer.
On October 5th of this year for example, there will be a showing of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin.
Also on show is Shostakovich's The Nose, which will impress both opera and art lovers alike.
These are just a few of the exciting lineups which will be shown at the Curzon over the coming year as part of the New York Metropolitan Opera Live.
