London Attractions: Jewel Tower is a real treasure in the heart of London

If you fancy taking a trip back in time to history while visiting London attractions, then they don’t come much better than the Jewel Tower.

This historic building dates back over 600 years, and was built on behalf of Edward III, to safeguard his personal treasures.

The tower is just a stone’s throw away from Big Ben and Westminster and puts on a range of different events for visitors.

The tower is managed  by English Heritage which is has taken a leading role in helping to preserve cultural sites of interests within the city.

Visitors who are interested in delving into the rich, cultural heritage of London will no doubt enjoy a visit to the Jewel Tower and all that it has to offer.

The Jewel Tower was designed in the 14th century by Henry Yevele and gives visitors an intriguing history of the tower as well as containing an exhibition on the first floor called ‘Parliament Past and Present’.
