London Attractions: Celebrate royalty this month at Kensington Palace

If you are looking for things to do in London then why not join thousands of Brits, who are celebrating the birth of the future king of this country, baby George Alexander Louis.
Proud parents Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William, recently announced the name of the newest addition to their family after much speculation and excitement which reverberated all over the country.
The UK is currently in the grip of royal baby fever which has not only captured the hearts and mind of Brits, but has also caused a stir across the world. The announcement came just one day after the Duchess left hospital and two days after she gave birth.
Royalty has always remained a traditional part of the British culture, and the monarchy are held in high regard by the Brits.
The arrival of baby George has been long awaited and anticipated for months, and is one of the most celebrated events of the year.
As a visitor to the great city that is London, why not participate in some celebrations of your own and take a sneak peak into the lives of royalty?
Nearly everyone has heard about Buckingham Palace - undoubtedly the most popular of royal residences, but why not put Kensington Palace on your list as well?
Generations of royal women have helped to shape Kensington Palace, including the late Princess Diana, Queen Mary to Victoria.
Will Kate Middleton leave a lasting legacy too? The palace is said to be a very popular hotspot for the Duchess, and there is plenty for visitors to do there.
For here, guests can explore the sprawling gardens that surround the palace, as well as the Queen's State apartments, the King's State apartments, which contain magnificent works of art and and opulent displays within each room that collectively make up the apartments.
There is also an exhibition which tells you all about the life and reign of Queen Victoria.
But if you are feeling peckish towards the end of your visit, then go ahead and tuck in at the palace cafe where you can grab a bite to eat. There is also a shop with many collectibles and souvenirs which can serve as special mementos to remind you of your trip.
So if you do one thing this summer, be sure to stop by Kensington Palace and other royal residences, which hold hundreds of years of British tradition.
