Will Kate Middleton leave a lasting legacy too? The palace is said to be a very popular hotspot for the Duchess, and there is plenty for visitors to do there.
For here, guests can explore the sprawling gardens that surround the palace, as well as the Queen's State apartments, the King's State apartments, which contain magnificent works of art and and opulent displays within each room that collectively make up the apartments.
There is also an exhibition which tells you all about the life and reign of Queen Victoria.
But if you are feeling peckish towards the end of your visit, then go ahead and tuck in at the palace cafe where you can grab a bite to eat. There is also a shop with many collectibles and souvenirs which can serve as special mementos to remind you of your trip.
So if you do one thing this summer, be sure to stop by Kensington Palace and other royal residences, which hold hundreds of years of British tradition.
