Kensington Palace is one of the best fairytale London attractions
Published: Friday 4th of January 2013
It is admittedly difficult to explore London attractions without bumping into the odd fairytale castle, and people looking to be transported to a different era should consider a trip to Kensington Palace.
It may be months until Halloween, but those who like a good scare will be delighted by the palace's Eerie Evening tours - which are on all year round.
The palace promises: "When all the gates are locked and the lights are out join us to hear tales of mysterious sights, unexplained happenings and strange stories as you are guided around the darkened rooms and echoing corridors of Kensington Palace."
Visitors are invited to explore some 300 years of death, disease, love and loss, following in the footsteps of kings, queens and courtiers.
Another opportunity to learn about the past residents of Kensington Palace is provided by the Victoria Revealed exhibition.
This allows people to explore the long life of Queen Victoria in an exhibition inspired by her very own journals.
