Published: Monday 27th of August 2012

People who are interested in the iconic images of the past century should pay a visit to the Design Museum if they are looking for things to do in London.

The vast collection is made up of more than 2,000 objects, covering everything from early Modernism in the 1900s to the forms of design that are taking place right now.

Visitors to the museum will learn about the history of the design of mass production, with exhibits including furniture, lighting, domestic appliances and even communications technology.

One exhibition which will soon start is Digital Crystal: Swarovski at the Design Museum, which is running from September 5th to January 13th.

It explores how Swarovski's concepts when it comes to design and architecture have served as an important experimental platform for the big names in design to conceptualise, develop and share their most radical ideas.

The exhibition will be made up of 15 unique installations, which are touted to give visitors "a glimpse of the future of memory".
