Enjoy winter at the London Wetland Centre for things to do in London

Published: Sunday 4th of November 2012

The great outdoors offers different treats all year round, so people looking for things to do in London should not assume that the London Wetland Centre is not worth a visit just because it is winter.

In fact, winter is a time when some of its most interesting animals come out to play, and the scenery is undeniably beautiful.

On November 10th, visitors can sit down for a Life in Ponds, Pools and Ditches talk, which will cover the wealth of birds, amphibians, fish and invertebrates that mooch around the wetlands.

Giving the talk will be amateur naturalist and wildlife photographer Neil Phillips, talking about often ignored creatures that add magic to certain habitats. Moorhens, dragonflies, scorpions and caddisfly larvae are all on the agenda.

People who want to be tested on their wildlife knowledge, on the other hand, will enjoy the Wildlife Quiz with David Lindo, taking place on November 7th.
