As part of its Dig For Victory ethos, the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms is running a wildlife and gardening week later this month.

From August 25th until August 29th 2008, the Dig for Victory wildlife and gardening week is taking place at the St James's Park Dig for Victory allotment garden.

London pass holders can gather at the gardens from 11:00 BST until 16:00 BST

Enjoy arts and craft sessions related to local wildlife and design and construct objects that are both interesting and useful in the garden.

Performances of a play about various bugs and the part they play nature will take place and visitors can learn more about wildlife in general.

Dig for Victory evolved from the wartime response to food shortages and now the campaign reflects today's concerns in regards to access to fresh and healthy food.
