Partying in the park this weekend
Published: Friday 23rd of May 2008
A picturesque London attraction on the best of times, Victoria Park will explode into life this weekend as it hosts a free festival of live music and entertainment.
The Paradise Gardens event will feature world class circus performances to and audaciously bizarre street theatre from No Fit State Circus and Laika/Time Circus.
On the open-air music stage will be Alabama 3 Acoustic and Unplugged and urban dance outfit Ska Cubano.
Local artisans and traders will be displaying their wares at The Victoria Village Fete, while over in the Tea Dance Tent, visitors can strut their stuff on the dance floor accompanied by everything from rock 'n' roll to the tango.
If flora and fauna are more your thing - in addition to visiting Victoria Park - no horticultural tour of the capital would be complete without a visit to top London attractions such as Kew Gardens and Chelsea Physic Garden. Free entry to both gardens is included in the London Pass.
