London Attractions celebrate green credentials

The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew is one of more than 100 businesses that are part of the Green Tourism for London programme.
Tourism businesses are offered advice on how to reduce their individual energy and water bills as part of the scheme.
According to Mayor of London Boris Johnson, the programme is likely to be encouraging for tourists visiting the attractions, which also include London Zoo and the O2 Arena.
He said: "It is absolutely fantastic to see that some of London's top tourist attractions are leading the way in going green, and helping the capital to meet a 60 per cent cut in carbon emissions by 2025.
"Becoming more energy efficient is a win-win for these businesses as it both saves money on bills and attracts a growing army of customers who are keen to spend money in places that are helping to protect our environment."
Hotels such as the Marriott and Ramada are also signed up to the scheme, which hopes to reduce the amount sent to landfill by up to 50 per cent per year.
