Harvest Fair at the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms

Published: Sunday 27th of July 2008

This September visitors to London can learn about living sustainably by taking lessons from the past at the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms.

The Dig for Victory response to the war time problem of food shortages has been updated for use in modern day England and with the cost of food sky rocketing the campaign effectively reflects contemporary concerns.

Harvest Fair, as such, is taking place on September 27th and September 28th 2008 at the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms St James's Park allotment.

The fair will include a selection of harvest arts and crafts activities for families to enjoy.

From making straw dolls and pom pom animals to potato printing, children will be delighted at this rustic but practical craft time as well as a petting zoo and Royal Parks and Fullers shire horses.

Talks will also be given by Home Front Friends who are experts in second world war cooking.

Visitors to the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms can gain entry to the venue using their London Pass.
