Experience the spirit of Christmas in a unique London setting
Published: Sunday 9th of November 2008
Attractions all over London are gearing up for the festive season with a range of events and promotions.
But none offer quite the experience that can be found at the Chelsea Physic Garden at its annual Christmas Fair, to be held on November 30th.
Visitors will be able to take in the sights and sounds of the garden along with a range of stalls and stands purveying their wares.
On offer will be jewellery, toys, accessories, traditional foods and confectionary plus a range of children's activities to keep the little ones occupied.
The Fair offers a rare chance to see the majesty of the gardens in winter and to enjoy its rich and varied botanical life at this picturesque time of year.
Hungry visitors can partake of a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie or two at the garden's renowned Tangerine Dream Café.
The Chelsea Physic Garden – the second oldest such botanic garden in England - was established in 1673 by the Society of pothecaries to promote the study of botany's relationship to medicine.
