Eton College to host family fun walk

Published: Wednesday 20th of August 2008

Famous British public school and London landmark Eton College is to host a family fun walk this weekend, it has been reported.

According to the Reading Chronicle, the walk is to take place at the weekend under the banner of The Great Jubilee River Walk.

The walk will take place on Sunday August 24th, a bank holiday, meaning participants don't need to worry about going to work with achy legs the next morning.

"It will be a great family day out. You can walk, get a bit of exercise, enjoy the views and have a lovely picnic. There is something for everyone," organiser Fiona Try told the publication.

As it is a family fun walk, participants can walk for any distance from one to 12 miles.

The walk will commence in the Playing Fields at Eton College.

Eton College was founded by King Henry VI in 1440 and today is a secondary boarding school for 1,300 boys aged between 13 and 18.

Visitors to Eton College can gain entry to the venue using their London Pass.
