Cleve West speaks at Chelsea Physic Garden

Published: Friday 13th of June 2008

Are those green fingers with which you are clutching your London city pass? Then Chelsea Physic Garden could be just the London attraction for you.

A series of lectures are planned for the gardens - and they are selling out fast. Of those for which tickets are still available, one of the highlights is set to be Cleve West's talk about the garden he created for the Chelsea Flower Show.

The landscape gardener and magazine columnist delivers his From Spuds to Chelsea talk on July 30th, in which he will not only describe the road to the flower show but also reveal the secrets of his coveted allotment.

Of course, any visit to the Chelsea Physic Garden is a privilege for a London city pass holder - the London attraction was not opened to the public until 1983.

It was originally created in 1673 as the Apothecaries Garden as a training ground for budding plant experts.
