World's smallest hotel set to tour London attractions in March
Published: Thursday 25th of February 2010
The World's Smallest Pop-Up Hotel is set to make an appearance at major London attractions next month.
A miniature red carpet will be rolled out ahead of the iconic Airstream American travel trailer, which will be making its way to the London Zoo, Covent Garden piazza and Alexandra Palace from March 15th to the 19th.
Lucky guests will be able to win a chance to stay in the silver bullet-shaped hotel for one night only, with the unique locations bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase 'a room with a view'.
The miniature hotel will be touring the London attractions to help Visit London celebrate the capital's landmarks.
Interim chief executive at the tourism organisation Sally Chatterjee said: "Only in London can you stay in an incredible range of accommodation from luxury hotels to cosy bed and breakfasts while enjoying a huge variety of attractions, restaurants, shops and events that are just a stone's throw away.
"For one week only, visitors to the capital will have the opportunity to wake up and enjoy exclusive views of the world's most iconic skylines."
The miniature hotel competition will run alongside the Visit London Best of Britain and Ireland travel trade show, which will be taking place between March 17th and 20th.
