London attractions: Zoo welcomes new endangered animal

Published: Friday 28th of May 2010

Animal lovers might want to head to London Zoo this summer when planning their trip around London attractions.

That is because the zoo has just welcomed another endangered animal to the long list of creatures it already provides a home for.

According to a news report on the organisation's website, a young Bactrian camel called Kaboobie has now joined the zoo's ranks.

The animal has so far proven to be a very friendly resident at the zoo, according to Paul Kybett, a keeper who works at the London attraction.

Commenting on the site, he stated: "Kaboobie is a very friendly youngster.

"One thing I've learned over the years is that animals will always surprise you."

Visitors to the English capital city will be able to see nearly 750 animal species if they stop off at London Zoo on their travels, with the attraction based in Regent's Park.
