Falconry fun at Eltham Palace

Published: Friday 11th of July 2008

To experience what was a popular leisure activity in the upper classes during the 16th century, why not visit Eltham Palace this summer where Tudor falconry shows are to take place.

From August 19th until August 20th, the medieval palace that was once home to Henry VIII will host demonstrations of these glorious winged creatures.

See the falcons up close and personal and learn about how the birds of prey hunt for their food and how they are able to locate their prey from miles above.

Visitors to this regal London attraction can also enjoy demonstration of other birds in flight including owls and hawks.

This family friendly day out takes place at Eltham Palace from 11am on August 19th and 20th 2008 until 4pm.

London Pass holders can receive free entry to Eltham Palace.
