Best London attractions: London Zoo is 'bringing down the bars'
Published: Thursday 13th of May 2010
London Zoo is already recognised as one of the best London attractions, but staff have revealed that they are "bringing down the bars" in order to ensure visitors can enjoy an even more immersive experience.
They are achieving this by introducing interactive new exhibits so that the zoo offers a lot more than the traditional experience of viewing the animals from afar.
"As visitors walk around the zoo's 36-acre site, they are brought closer to nature," reveals the popular London attraction's official website.
Over recent years, a variety of fantastic new exhibits have been installed at London Zoo, including Butterfly Paradise, Meet the Monkeys, Gorilla Kingdom and the children's zoo known as Animal Adventure.
And London Zoo has installed an especially exciting exhibit in 2010 – Rainforest Life enables visitors to enter London's only living rainforest and come face-to-face with an amazing variety of rainforest species including monkeys, sloth and tamandua.
London Zoo is situated at the northern end of Regent's Park, conveniently located within walking distance of Camden Town and Regent's Park tube stations.
