London Castles & Palaces

Explore Royal London - Tower of London, Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace, and much, much more!

If castles and palaces are your thing, why not use your London Pass to explore London with a Royal theme?

For most, Buckingham Palace*, famous around the globe, the symbol of Britain's monarchy and the heart of many ceremonial occasions, will be an essential part of a Royal London tour.

But there's so much more to Royal London.

With your London Pass giving you free entry and fast track admission, we think it's unlikely you will be able to leave London without visiting the Tower of London, one of the capital's most prominent landmarks for almost a 1000 tears!

Devote a day of your trip to the Tower and you won't be disappointed. Learn about its fascinating history - the Tower has been a royal palace and fortress, prison and place of execution, an arsenal, royal mint, menagerie and jewel house - explore its buildings and view the collections including the Crown Jewels and Royal Armouries.

Your London Pass will encourage you to see the Jewel Tower too. Built around 1365 by Edward III to house his personal treasures, the Jewel Tower is one of only two complete buildings remaining from the medieval Palace of Westminster.
Not far away you will discover the Royal Mews, home to the royal collection of historic coaches and carriages, including the stunning Gold State Coach which has been used in every coronation since 1821!
Your London Pass will also allow you free entry to the Queen's Gallery, located within Buckingham Palace. Changing exhibitions from the Royal Collection are on view here.
If you love castles, you will adore Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. It's also an official residence of Her Majesty the Queen.

Also take the opportunity of a free tour of nearby Eton College, founded by King Henry VI in 1440.

The Royal Albert Hall is one of the most famous performing arts venues in the world. Needless to say, your London Pass entitles you to a free, guided tour!

Kensington Palace has been home to many members of the royal family, it was the birthplace of one of Britain's greatest monarchs, Queen Victoria, as well as being home to Princess Diana until her tragic death in 1997.
Make sure you set aside time during your visit to see Hampton Court Palace, the Thameside residence of Henry VIII. 450 years of history await you as well as the opportunity to lose yourself for ever in the world famous maze!

*Please note: Entry to Buckingham Palace is not included on the London Pass but you can purchase your tickets from us.
