You can find hundreds of the most famous and beautiful paintings in the world at The National Gallery. The pictures in the collection belong to the public and entrance to see them is free.

More than 2,000 Western European paintings are on show, dating from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. Discover inspiring art by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Titian, Holbein, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Turner, Constable, Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso.

The National Gallery has a number of audio guides and tours available to help you explore the collection and make the most of your visit. Make up your own tour and choose at random from over 1,200 paintings on display with the Collection Tour, or select from a range of family and themed trails.

The "Essential Audio Tour" features highlights on offer at the Gallery, covering 80 of the most important works. It is available in English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian, Polish, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin) and Korean. Most importantly, the audio guide is free with a London Pass!

The Children Audio Tour is also available in English + 6 languages (French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Mandarin, Korean).  Two children under 12 can enjoy the audio tour for free with a paying adult.

Please note: Due to continuous strike action there will be limited public access to some areas of the National Gallery – ongoing from 11th August 2015. Please check their website in advance to see how this might affect your visit.

"I would absolutely recommend buying the London Pass if you have 3 or more days to spend exploring London. Buy it ahead of time, online and research what is available and decide what attractions you might be interested in. A top 10 sort of thing, and then any others that might be of interest. It gives you the freedom to visit many popular sites without the hassle of standing in long lines for tickets. I also liked that I wasn't spending all kinds of money every day on attractions and money did not enter into my decisions on what I wanted to do since my admissions where already paid for. I very much enjoyed my visit in London and I think having the London Pass allowed me to see more than I would have, had I not had it. Thank you!!"
