The Guards Museum London is a fascinating insight into the history of the military in the capital and is unique among London museums as it was not originally intended for public view.

The Guards Museum London was created as an educational tool for the newest intake of Guardsmen and includes displays of uniform for the five Royal regiments dating from the Civil War, with details of the nature and origin of their ceremonial duties right up to their contemporary role.

This London museum provides an exclusive insight into the Foot Guards and Household Cavalry, their combat histories and present day function. To anyone interested in the military heritage of these world famous soldiers this London tourist attraction is a must-see.

Set opposite St James Park in Royal grounds, the London Guards museum also gives an excellent overview of the importance of the Royal Family to the Nation throughout history and their long association with the military.

If you’re visiting the area remember that entry to Jewel Tower, the Royal Mews and the Queens Gallery at Buckingham Palace is free with London Pass.

Closed on certain ceremonial days, please call to avoid disappointment or see our website www.theguardsmuseum.com

"I would absolutely recommend buying the London Pass if you have 3 or more days to spend exploring London. Buy it ahead of time, online and research what is available and decide what attractions you might be interested in. A top 10 sort of thing, and then any others that might be of interest. It gives you the freedom to visit many popular sites without the hassle of standing in long lines for tickets. I also liked that I wasn't spending all kinds of money every day on attractions and money did not enter into my decisions on what I wanted to do since my admissions where already paid for. I very much enjoyed my visit in London and I think having the London Pass allowed me to see more than I would have, had I not had it. Thank you!!"
