The Garden Museum in London is the only museum of its kind in Britain. The Museum is a celebration of the design and history of gardens.

Set within the abandoned ancient church of St Mary’s, this unique museum features 3 major exhibitions on various aspects of the garden. Displays include artefacts from the museums collection of paintings, garden tools and ephemera.

Built in 1980, the museum’s garden features a replica 17th century knot garden inspired by legendary gardeners John Trandescant senior and junior, who have a tomb in the garden.

The Garden Museum is fascinating and well worth a visit during a trip to London – entry is free with the London Pass!
