A masterpiece of exotic design and workmanship that rises above London's skyline, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is a testament to the capital's multiculturalism.

With ancient Indian art and traditions housed in this place of worship, as well as deities and motifs representing the sacred faith and beliefs of a people dating back over 8,500 years, this London attraction is possibly the most important Indian museums in London.

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Museum includes the “Understanding Hinduism” exhibition - a permanent feature spread over 3000 sq ft on the ground floor and covering the origin and beliefs of Hinduism through visual effects, paintings, tableaux and traditional craftwork.

The largest Hindu temple outside India, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir features huge dioramas and panels leading you through a journey of discovery like no other.

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is located in Neasden, North London close to Neasden or Dollis Hill Underground stations (both on the Jubilee Line) - remember you can buy a London Pass with travel, which covers all rail, bus and London Underground transport in zones 1-6.

Please note: all London visitors to BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Museum are expected to comply with the dress code (smart casual – not shorts, not skirts shorter than the knee) and be respectful of everyday worshippers.

If you found this London museum interesting, remember with London Pass you can get free entry to several other museums in the capital including the Florence Nightingale Museum and the Museum In Docklands.

"We found that the things we wanted to see in London were covered by the London Pass. We heard of the London Pass when we were arranging our BritRail Pass and we investigated how much it would cost to see everything we wanted. We found the convenience of the pass and the cost far outweighed just showing up at the venues and lining up for tickets. We even went to a few venues we didn't have on our "must see" list. Great value...would purchase again & recommend it to others."
