City Cruises Thames River Cruise

A Thames river cruise is without doubt one of the best ways to see London, weaving through the heart of the city and past so many of its most famous attractions.

With the London Pass you are entitled to a Red River Rover ticket from City Cruises, meaning you can hop on and off the river cruise all day and sightsee to your heart’s content.

City Cruises operate from four main piers on the Thames - Westminster, Waterloo, Tower and Greenwich piers.

City Cruises boats move between these piers regularly throughout the day, allowing you to cover a good deal of London as you hop on the boat, hop off the boat and scout the local areas in between.

City Cruises boats all offer a good level of relaxed comfort, being modern, all-weather, wheelchair-friendly vessels with open upper decks and spacious lower saloons with panoramic windows.

So what might you see from a City Cruises Thames river cruise? Plenty, to say the least.

Highlights* along this stretch of the river Thames include the site of the Cutty Sark (currently vacant whilst the boat undergoes restoration); London's commercial hub, Canary Wharf; the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the less glamorous London Bridge; the retired battle-cruiser, HMS Belfast; St Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe and the Tate Modern along the Thames North and South Banks; the London Eye and Millennium Footbridge, controversially constructed for the turn of the new century; and of course Westminster Abbey and Big Ben, recognized worldwide as icons of London.

Whichever way you look at it, a Thames river cruise with the London Pass and City Cruises should be a must on your London sightseeing trip.
