Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of Britain's sovereigns since 1837. The State Rooms of the Palace are lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection and are open to visitors during the Annual Summer Opening in August and September.

For the first time ever, visitors will be able to experience the spectacle of the Palace’s Ballroom set up for a State Banquet. For centuries magnificent banquets have been an integral part of royal ceremonial and the traditional way to mark significant events. Among the most important of these occasions is the State Banquet, held in honour of a visiting Head of State.

The horseshoe-shaped table traditionally used on such occasions will be dressed with a dazzling display of silver-gilt from the magnificent Grand Service, first used to celebrate the birthday of George III in 1811.

In 2009, Buckingham Palace is open from 1 August – 30 September inclusive, from 09.45 to 18.00 daily, with the last admission at 15.45hrs.

Ticket Information
The Buckingham Palace tickets are timed with entry slots every 15 minutes. Once you have purchased you will need to take your purchase confirmation to the voucher exchange desk at the Buckingham Palace visitor entrance, on Buckingham Palace Road, where it will be exchanged for tickets for the next available time slot. Tickets are valid within the duration of your London Pass.
