As a holder of a London Pass you are entitled to free entrance to The Bramah Museum of Tea and Coffee (normal price £4). The world’s first museum dedicated to the commercial history and social impact of these beverages, this quirky and informative attraction is truly a one off!
Founded by Edward Bramah, this unique London museum looks at the impact that importing these products from countries such as China, Africa and India had on the British economy and social life and tells its tale from a very British perspective, demonstrating past traditions through ceramics and the active taking of afternoon tea.
The tea museum also studies the relationship between the river Thames and the shipping of these products, which, since their first arrival in Britain, have unquestionably informed so much of the social etiquette and traditions in this country, some of which still stand today.
Only two minutes from London Bridge itself, where key events in the 400-year history studied by the museum took place, this London museum is ideally placed to give the visitor a very tangible taste of the Britain that these products have shaped over time.
The Bramah Museum of Tea and Coffee is just one of the many London museums London Pass holders can gain free entrance to, - you can also get a £2 discount on an afternoon tea so you can truly appreciate how wonderful this subject is first hand! Don’t miss out on this tasty London tourist attraction.
