What to drink in London: Raise a glass to film greats
Last Updated: Sun 27 Sep 2009

London sightseers in need of something to quench their thirst can head to Park Plaza Hotels next month and raise a glass to the stars of the silver screen.

To celebrate the Times British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival, which takes place from October 14th to 29th, the hotel chain has created a special cocktail menu.

It features five limited edition drinks as a tribute to some of Hollywood's most inspiring actors and directors.

The Coen Cocktail has been created in honour of the directing duo the Coen brothers, the black and white Jane Champagne commemorates camerawoman Jane Campion's The Piano and the Bloody Murray is named after Bill Murray.

This year's festival spans continents and boundaries with the aim of celebrating cinema wherever creativity flourishes, says artistic director Sandra Hebron.

Across the various screenings, talks and events, filmmakers and audiences can engage, discuss and reflect on world cinema.
