What to do in London: have a family fun day at the Tower of LondonNext weekend (October 31st and November 1st) is Family Fun Weekend at the Tower of London with opportunities to discover the fascinating tales of the tower, get hands-on and have fun.
Under the arches, opposite the medieval shop, visitors will be able to try on Tudor costumes and enjoy arts and crafts activities including making a Tower of London badge.
Free family packs containing Palace Secrets, Crowning Glory or Meet the VIP's family trails and a tower pencil and badge will be handed out to those visiting the famous London attraction.
A Yeoman Warder will be posted by the ravens' cages speaking about his work and what it is like to live in the Tower of London today. He will also tell stories about the ravens - why they are there and what would happen if they ever left.
At 11.30, 12.30 and 13.30 GMT a Victorian ghost hunter will tell terrifying tales of the ghosts and ghouls of the tower, said to be the city's most haunted building.
The tower was a former fortress, palace and a prison for royalty. Its ghosts take many shapes from the annual midnight visit of the ghost of Henry VI to the White Lady whose perfume causes the guards to vomit and experience a sensation of being crushed.
The following Family Fun Weekend is on December 12th and 13th.
