Visit Dickensian London attractions this Christmas
Last Updated: Fri 20 Nov 2009

Visitors to England's capital can celebrate the release of a new animated movie version of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol, by visiting some real Dickensian London attractions.

With a London Sightseeing Pass from Leisure Pass, tourists can visit St Paul's Cathedral, which was built between 1675 and 1710.

The cathedral is holding a wide variety of services, concerts and events over the festive season, including the Breast Cancer Care Carol Service on Thursday, December 3rd.

Carols will be sung by the St Paul's Cathedral Consort and conducted by Simon Johnson. The service, sponsored by Swarovski, will also include readings by celebrities.

Visitors to the cathedral can also enjoy a Christmas lunch in The Restaurant at St Paul's or visit the St Paul's Shop which offers a range of gifts and Christmas cards.

Leisure pass also recommends climbing the 311 steps inside the Monument. The stone column was built by Wren in commemoration of the Great Fire of London and has recently reopened after an 18-month restoration project.
