Top London attraction Tower Bridge to feature in charity walk
Last Updated: Tue 15 Sep 2009

Diabetes UK is inviting people to take part in a charity walk, which will work its way past a number of top London attractions.

Among them is Tower Bridge, where the race will finish on November 15th.

The Bridges of London walk will start at Westminster Bridge and is approximately five miles long.

Participants will not be required to meet a minimum fundraising target and will have the added benefit of taking in some of the city's most iconic bridges on their journey.

Figures from VisitBritain show the number of overseas residents visiting the UK in June was up five per cent compared with the same period of 2008.

This makes it the first month this year which has shown an increase in visits compared to the corresponding month of last year.

Furthermore, spending in June this year was eight per cent higher than the same month in 2008.
