Things to do in London: Visit Turner Prize winner Keith Tyson's exhibition
Last Updated: Mon 9 Nov 2009

Turner Prize winner Keith Tyson's current exhibition, Cloud Choreography and Other Emergent Systems, finishes this week, so art enthusiasts visiting London galleries should ensure they visit Parasol Unit before it ends.

The exhibition brings together several groups of the artist's works and focuses on the systems and processes that inform the creation of his work.

Many of his works investigate the physical forms and systems found within the natural world, others examine the effects of mankind on the environment, and the ensuing man-made forms and systems.

The structure of the exhibition at Parasol unit is broadly split into two parts. The first part, in the lower gallery, features works that focus on natural processes and systems and, in the upper gallery, the second part of the exhibition focuses more on mathematical, man-made and process-driven systems, and includes sculptures alongside paintings, which are being shown as a series for the first time.

Parasol Unit is close to many top London attractions and other things to do in London, including the London Canal Museum, where visitors can learn about the history of London's canals, the cargoes carried, the people who lived and worked on the waterways and the horses that pulled their boats.
