Save on London attractions as holidaying named more important than educationTwo-thirds of people believe going on holiday is more important than getting educated, a new poll has revealed.
Of those questioned by Skyscanner, 66 per cent said they would take their children out of school to go on holiday, which may include a sightseeing trip to London.
"The additional financial pressure caused by the economic downturn may be another reason that more parents are prepared to consider taking the family on holiday during school term time," noted Barry Smith, Skyscanner co-founder and director.
Results show that 31 per cent would not take their children out of school, even if it meant saving money on a holiday.
Research by travelsupermarket.com recently found that 18 per cent of parents said they would ignore the possibility of the £100 penalty introduced in 2004 to deter them from taking their children out of school.
Furthermore, 31 per cent admit they would take their children out of school before the end of term.
