Save on London attractions ... and travel costs?
Last Updated: Sat 26 Sep 2009

People taking in London attractions should not only be able to save money with a London Pass, but with cheaper rail travel, it has been suggested.

The Campaign for Better Transport is calling for train fares to be reduced to encourage more use of public transport, ease congestion and reduce carbon emissions.

"Government must cut train fares to make taking the train the easy option," said Cat Hobbs, public transport campaigner at the organisation.

High train fares are the number one issue for railways, although more than half of Brits have travelled by rail in the past year according to figures from the Department for Transport.

Those travelling to the capital, whether for business or to enjoy a London sightseeing trip, have many options for getting there by rail, with the city boasting several mainline stations and the Underground and bus networks connecting all areas.
