Prince of Wales exhibition at Windsor Castle
Last Updated: Tue 29 Jul 2008

A staple part of any London sightseeing trip is a visit to Windsor Castle - and fans of the royal family have even more incentive to visit at present.

The Drawings Gallery at the castle is currently hosting HRH The Prince of Wales: An exhibition to celebrate his 60th birthday, which will run until February 22nd 2009.

As well as family photographs from the royal collection and Prince Charles' own archives, there will be some of his favourite books and memorabilia on display, all shedding light on his interests as a boy and in adulthood.

There are also a number of watercolours painted by the heir to the British throne.

Having stood for 900 years, Windsor Castle is one of the oldest places to visit in London and is steeped in royal history.

The exhibition is a perfect opportunity to look back at the life of the man who became the Prince of Wales 50 years ago.

A London visitor card is a great way to see the sights that will not cost a royal fortune.
