More holidaymakers ?seeing London attractions on short breaks?Holidaymakers are increasingly looking to visit London attractions on short breaks in the capital, it has been revealed.
According to research carried out by weekend break specialist Superbreak, more people are choosing to see hotspots such Buckingham Palace and St Pauls Cathedral by taking advantage of one night leisure stays.
The study found that over the last six months the group has seen a 32 per cent increase in short bookings compared to the same period in 2008.
Ray Jones, marketing director at the group, commented: With budgets tight and time short due to work pressures, we have seen a significant increase in people booking one night trips to budget hotels in London. London seems to be the destination of choice simply because there are so many things to do.
Earlier this month, family holiday specialist Hoseasons commented that the current weakness of the pound is encouraging people to stay in the UK and take the time to see the countrys holiday hotspots, such as famous London attractions.
