Mayor launches fact-filled London guideThe mayor of London Boris Johnson has encouraged people to learn more about the city through a new fact-filled guide.
Focus on London 2009 is bursting with facts and figures on the capital, including where the cheapest housing can be found and how much is earned from foreign tourists.
Johnson said it contains everything from information on "the longest river, to the tallest building, to the number of tourists who visit the capital that can be used to astound your friends".
He also advised pub quiz fanatics to have it at their disposal to help them win their next encounter.
According to the guide, Heathrow is the world's third-busiest airport and the Northern Line carries the most passengers.
Anyone heading to the capital who wants to make the most of their visit can take advantage of the London Pass, which gives free entry to a whole host of top attractions.
