London 'has something for everyone'
Last Updated: Thu 30 Jul 2009

The UK capital has something for all visitors to enjoy, whatever their taste, tourism body VisitBritain has pointed out.

It says that the range of London attractions, from historic buildings and museums to restaurants and shopping centres, makes the city one of the world's most popular destinations.

"City destinations are increasingly popular options, helped by the rise of low-cost airlines flying into many of our regional cities and great transport links," a spokesman for the body commented.

They offer something to suit every budget and are also a great base from where to explore nearby countryside, he continued.

Research from Garmin shows that more than two in ten Brits will head to London attractions for their family holiday this year.

Half will visit London museums or sights such as the Tower of London and one in ten will embark on a London sightseeing bus tour to allow them to see as much of the city as possible.

Visitors to the capital can take advantage of the London Pass to save money during their stay in the city.ADNFCR-1693-ID-19288504-ADNFCR
