Little kids go to big city
Last Updated: Sat 7 Mar 2009

A group of schoolchildren have proved the big city is not just a place for big people by enjoying a whole host of tourist attractions on their day trip to London.

The nine and ten-year-olds took in a number of locations, including Buckingham Palace and St Paul's Cathedral, This is the West Country reports.

Headteacher of Helston Primary School Brett Dye tells the paper: "The comments we received from the general public were really good - they were impressed by their behaviour, their manners, their enthusiasm and their friendliness."

Among the other activities the children took in was a treasure hunt around London's main streets and a visit to the Tower of London.

The trip is believed to have been such a success that plans are already in motion to run it again next year.
