Kew Gardens voted one of the 'best' London attractionsKew Gardens in London has been named as Britain's best public garden.
According to travel site TripAdvisor, the London attraction is the "most famous and popular garden in the world" and is a hit with visitors of all ages and nationalities.
Attracting more than 1.3 million visitors annually, Kew is set over 300 acres and boasts several unique plantation areas, including the Arboretum, the Grass Garden and the Holly Walk.
What's more, as well as viewing flora and fauna from ground level, visitors to Kew Gardens can now experience the attraction from above, with the new Rhizotron and Xstrata Treetop walkway.
Standing 18 metres above the ground, the new walkway enables visitors to take a closer look at trees by strolling alongside their canopies.
Other gardens that made the prestigious list include the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh and the Lost Gardens of Heligen in Cornwall.
