Kew Gardens launches photography competitionA competition has been launched to find the Conservation Volunteering photographer of the year.
Set up by Defra and Kew Gardens, it aims to capture the country's great outdoors while highlighting the benefits of volunteering.
"You don't need to be an expert photographer to take part - just take a picture that sums up the fun you had helping to conserve English wildlife or nature," advised Mr Irranca-Davies, who was pictured helping to clear the banks of the Thames with Thames21.
Prizes include vouchers - which can be won in several categories - with the winners also having their photographs displayed at Kew Gardens.
Celebrating its 250th year, there has never been a better time to visit Kew Gardens to see its historical legacy and world-famous conservation efforts.
With the London Pass, entrance to the London attraction is free, saving £13 on the price of an adult's ticket.
