Hampton Court Palace welcomes Henry VIII exhibition
Last Updated: Tue 12 May 2009

Hampton Court Palace is celebrating 500 years since Henry VIII ascended to the throne, with plenty of events to mark the occasion.

Visitors will be able to witness for themselves a recreation of the monarch's marriage to Kateryn Parr, with a variety of other festivities also taking place.

Among them is a garden history tour, which will last 45 minutes, and a 30-minute encounter with a palace gardener.

Running until August 3rd is the Henry's Women exhibition, which gives an insight into some unusual portraits of the king's many wives, along with two paintings of his children Mary I and Elizabeth I.

A music book thought to have been written for Anne Boleyn by one of her lovers will also be on show for people to take a look at.

With the London Pass, entry to Hampton Court Palace comes at no extra charge, saving visitors £14 per adult and £7 per child.ADNFCR-1693-ID-19164242-ADNFCR
